called by beauty

i just can't get enough of these gorgeous trees. instead of my usual 15 minute walk home from school, today it took me about 45 minutes! every few steps i had to stop and just stare up at the beautiful blossoms against the pale blue sky, mesmerized by the sweet perfume in the air. i love being beckoned out of my regular routine by beauty. it is such a blessing. it's like for a moment i feel what it is like to be fully present and alive, paying perfect attention to what is right before my eyes.so many cherry trees on campus!my high rise apartment building in the distance....
